Room V

This room is located in the West tower and contains three panels and a reconstructive model: one panel concerns the gates of the walls, the others contain information about the Via Appia, and on the diverse building techniques used by the Romans subsequent to opus quadratum; the model reproduces the section of the wall between the Porta Asinaria and the Castrense amphitheatre, whose architecture was adapted to overcome the very uneven ground in the area.

This is the last room in the ancient section.
